I have the honour to inform you
that on the receipt of your telegram of the 29th. ultimo
concerning the state of health of 2nd. Lieutenant Pini,

now commanding the Russian Sailors interned in this Colony,
I caused the Officer in question to be medically examined
with the result that his Medical Adviser
Dr. A. Rennie
a leading local Practitioner, copy of whose report is
enclosed
recommended that 2nd. Lieutenant Pini should
be granted leave to proceed to Europe.

I thereupon sent you my telegram
of the 5th. instant, in which I intimated that similar
steps would be taken to release 2nd. Lieutenant Pini on
parole as in the case of Lieutenant Tyrkoff.

I have now to transmit 2nd.
Lieutenant Pini's written parole, with translation thereof,
and
